A prototype version of Light Lens Lab 50mm f/1.2 "1966" has arrived in North America for testing, and it is available to loan to any potential reviewers in North America. The prototype lens received positive reviews from the Leica Society International and Macfilos:

We will begin shipping on a gradual basis for customers who have previously pre-ordered the 50mm f/1.2 ASPH "1966" at the beginning of 2023. Customers will receive notifications via email regarding their final deposit and address confirmation. The timeline is as follows:
- Aluminum in Black Paint: Shipping begins now.
- Brass in Black paint: Shipping begins Q4 of 2023
- Brass in Chrome: Shipping begins Q4 of 2023
- Titanium in Titanium Grey: Shipping begins Q4 of 2023/Q1 of 2024
